After two years in Greenville SC, we have determined that in order to hold Carolina Summer Swing to the same exemplary standards as our two other beloved events (Trilogy Swing in Raleigh NC, and Charlotte WestieFest in Charlotte NC), we would have to consider moving to a new venue. One were we could truly nurture and grow this young event into the kind of dance experience that meets — exceeds even — the quality and expectations of our dance community.
We are very happy to announce that we are moving Carolina Summer Swing to a new venue: the very same Hilton where we hold our popular Charlotte WestieFest event!
What makes Carolina Summer Swing so amazing? We’ve taken the best of our other events, and feedback from our attendees, to create a new and unique summer event experience! Our emphasis on community, social dancing, learning, and options to explore other dance styles in addition to West Coast Swing. Plus, we’ll be adding new activities that take advantage of the new hotel pool and outdoor spaces for some summer fun!
We have social dances on both Thursday night (starting with a pre-dance lesson at 8 pm and then dancing until the sun comes up) as well as Sunday night into early Monday morning.
As we do at both CWF and Trilogy, we are excited to be able to include a “Fusion Room” on both Friday and Saturday nights in one of our auxiliary ballrooms. This year the folks you know and love from Cadencia NC and Greenville Fusion will be teaming up to bring you a special “Bachata Takeover” of this year’s Fusion Room. Greenville Fusion Dance will host a Fusion Room on both Friday and Saturday in one of our auxiliary ballrooms! This will include pre-dance workshops and social dancing on both Friday and Saturday. Complete details will be posted on their Facebook event page.
For those attending Carolina Summer Swing with a full weekend pass, Fusion Room activities are included in your weekend pass (with the exception of intensive, if offered). For those wishing to attend the Fusion event room only, registration options will be outlined on the Greenville Fusion Facebook Event page.

Yes! WSDC competition points will be awarded per the most recent version of the WSDC rules for swing events.
You can register online for the event from our Registration page.
Yes, in order to compete you need a full weekend pass.
For WSDC competitions, we follow their rules. For other rules specific to our event, see our Competition rules.
If you’re competing in Novice Jack and Jill or above, you need your WSDC number, which can be found here.
On Thursday night, we have a “kick-off” workshop and dance.
We offer a Student pass (which includes Juniors) on the Registration Site. Criteria for registering for this pass option is provided on the Registration site. If you have questions, please contact us.
